The Sparc injector for Ariane 6 is an electrical subsystem used to ignite the APU gas generator. The system consists of several functional blocks interconnected into a chain as follows: the low voltage unit and the high voltage transformer with electrode.
Details:
The low voltage unit is supplied by a low voltage network with a voltage between about 40 – 65V and delivers the pulse energy to the high voltage transformer. The high voltage transformer delivers a voltage of 20 kV with an energy of >30 mJ. The system is capable of delivering pulses every 20ms with a pulse length of 200µs.
