Microsectioning

Electrical connections by soldering or crimping, as well as printed circuit boards, must be highly reliable in the space environment. Poor workmanship, poor solder joints or poor crimping pose an unacceptable risk to the robust operation of spaceflight power supplies.

To evaluate electrical connections, ASP Equipment operates a microsection laboratory. Our microsection production according to ECSS Q ST 70 38 is approved by ESA. Therefore, our specialists are able to examine own manufacturing processes and identify possible defects. In this way, quality always remains visible and verifiable. The laboratory for microsections supports our in-house production in the process of continuous improvement and is available to our customers as a service.
