ASP-NEWSASP celebrates anniversary: “S´bäscht isch jet tu kamm!”7. July 2023

On June 29, 2023, ASP Equipment GmbH celebrated its 20th anniversary with an impressive festival followed by a boat trip on Lake Constance.

Two decades of achievements, innovation, and valuable partnerships – but above all, its employees – have made ASP what it is today: a global leader in power electronics for space applications. The product portfolio has consistently expanded and now includes devices for satellite energy management, power supplies for electric propulsion, as well as high-voltage supplies for radar and microwave instruments. A significant number of renowned satellite system integrators worldwide rely on ASP’s power electronics. For example, ASP supplies crucial components of the payload electronics for the next generation of the Galileo navigation system.

Initially, a food truck and a beverage stand provided refreshments for the invited guests and employees. Afterwards, Dr. Reiner Strobel, the CEO, and Waldemar Dechent, one of the five founders and shareholders, provided interesting insights into the company’s history and an outlook into the future: “S´bäscht isch jet tu kamm!” attempted Dr. Strobel in Swabian dialect, indirectly drawing attention to the most pressing issue faced by the now 110-strong company: the shortage of skilled workers. In the rapidly growing space market, further lucrative projects could be realized if ASP managed to acquire the necessary personnel resources.

The anniversary celebration concluded in the company’s courtyard and aboard a boat trip on Lake Constance, providing an excellent setting for further networking.
