ASP-NEWSASP delivers RAFS EPC for Galileo4. August 2022

Within the scope of the shares for the European satellite navigation system Galileo 2nd Generation, ASP has delivered the engineering models (EM) of the power supply for the high-precision rubidium atomic clocks. On board of each Galileo satellite there are two rubidium atomic clocks and in redundancy two passive hydrogen maser clocks. Their time signal ensures the exact location of the navigation system. Galileo operates on up to 2 transmission frequencies and thus enables positioning accuracies of 10-50 centimeters.
At ASP-Equipment we are pleased that with the successful delivery of the EM’s we can prove our high manufacturing competence according to the very high requirements of ESA at our headquarters in Salem. We expect the release for the production of the Flight Models (FM) on the basis of the EM’s.
