Responsibilities:
- Independently manage the procurement of Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical (EEE) components for development, qualification and flight models
- Prepare and issue requests for quotation (RFQs) and conduct commercial, pricing and contractual negotiations with national and international suppliers
- Manage and monitor procurement activities on a project basis with regard to cost, quality and schedule objectives
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Assurance, Configuration Management and Project Management teams
- Select, evaluate and develop suppliers in accordance with space industry requirements and project needs
- Support obsolescence management activities, component substitutions and long-lead item procurement
- Review and assess technical specifications, datasheets and procurement requirements
- Monitor supplier delivery performance and manage escalations related to schedule delays or quality issues
- Maintain and continuously improve supplier and procurement data within the ERP system
Requirements:
- Successfully completed degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in technical procurement, project procurement or supply chain management within a technology-driven industry
- Ideally, experience with electronic components, printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronic assemblies or EEE components
- Knowledge of space, aerospace or defense-related standards and quality requirements would be an advantage
- Solid technical understanding of electronic systems and development projects
- Strong communication and negotiation skills when working with international suppliers
- Structured, self-driven and solution-oriented working style
- Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
