Through NASA’s Artemis program, humans are set to return to the Moon in the coming years. Last night (00:35 a.m. CEST), an important milestone of the Artemis II mission was successfully reached.

Our two star tracker converters supply power to our customer Jena-Optronik’s star sensor.
The star sensor is a camera that measures the orientation of specific stars relative to a satellite’s current position. Therefore, the star tracker is crucial for alignment with the Sun as well as for orbital corrections.
ℹ️ In the current Artemis II mission, the Moon is being orbited by a crewed space capsule to prepare for humanity’s return to the lunar surface. On board are four astronauts. We congratulate on this outstanding success!
Did you know? In Greek mythology, Artemis is the goddess of the Moon and the twin sister of Apollo. Artemis therefore also symbolically represents the next generation of lunar missions.
