As of today ESA has issued a brand new memo regarding SMT line verification status.
ESA states in https://escies.org/download/webDocumentFile?id=63545, that ASP-Equipment has successfully performed an assembly line verification in compliance to the ECSS-Q-ST-70-38C requirements.
In fact the line qualification program in ASP has been initiated in year 2011. Through continuous improvement of the manufacturing process and through addition of new housing types the corresponding summary tables have been supplemented mutually. Now ESA has formally approved ASP´s summary tables with the reference TEC-QT/2013/659/CV Tables 1 and 2.
There is no other SME in Germany that is in the position to provide ESA verified SMT manufacturing.
In addition the product fabrication process includes design, analysis, hand soldering and test of flight hardware.
ASP is not only in the position to manufacture its own products, but does also offer its manufacturing competence according to ESA rules to other space companies.
